Sovereign Gate is a newly renovated commercial block which has been converted to 2 apartments, situated in the heart of Portsmouth City, walking distance to all amenities and the Historic Dockyard and just a short drive to Southsea seafront.  With 2 bedrooms, one with zip link King, allowing for 2 singles, this apartment can comfortably accommodate 4 guests, with the option of a sofa bed for an additional 2 guests.

We created Oliverball Serviced Apartments with the purpose of delivering high quality accommodation and service for those looking for a home away from home when staying in Portsmouth for business or pleasure.

With free parking on site available in the evenings, super-fast Wi-Fi, Sovereign Gate is a great place to stay whether you are visiting for work or pleasure.

Situated in Commercial Road, Sovereign gate is a Commercial Unit beautifully refurbished into 2 apartments over 2 floors.  This property is a modern 2 bedroom apartment.  In the City Centre, walking distance the Gunwharf Quays and a short drive to the seafront, Southsea shopping and nightlife, we believe the accommodation is ideal for contractors and travellers alike.

Guest access is self-check-in via key safe.  To the right of the front door of the property, you will find 2 key safes.  The safe on the right nearest the entry keypad, is for Apartment 2. The code for the key safe will be sent to you 48 hours before check-in, please ensure keys are returned to the key safe on Check-out.

At Sovereign Gate we offer check in from 3pm and no earlier unless otherwise agreed and check out no later than 11am.

Providing all the comforts of a modern hotel, with free super fast wifi, flat screen smart TV, high quality beds and furnishings and hotel quality linen, we also provide all the facilities needed to cook at home.  A well equipped kitchen includes an oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine, plus all the crockery, pots and pans etc needed for the majority of dishes. 

Situated in the heart of Portsmouth, Commercial Road is one of the main roads in and out of Portsmouth city, the property’s location is excellent for workers and travellers alike.  Parking is free on site if available and you can also park on the street for free, for up to 3 hours.  
The nearest NCP carpark is a 2 min drive away. It's just a 10 minute drive to Southsea beach and the South Parade Pier, as well as Canoe Lake which is a great area if you have kids with you. A leisurely 30 stroll will take you into Gunwharf Quays with its vast selection of designer outlets, restaurants, bars, cinema, coffee shops and an eclectic mix of high street shops dotted around a beautiful marina.

A 10 minute drive or taxi ride gets you to the Historic Dockyard where you can see the Mary Rose, HMS Victory and HMS Warrior plus a host of other exhibitions. Also in close proximity, is the Pyramids Centre Swimming Pool and Gym, Southsea Castle, D-Day Museum, Royal Marines Museum, Natural History Museum, Blue Reef Aquarium, Clarence Pier (amusement park), Southsea Common and the Skate Park.
