Although the mall is often crowded, its large and open feel makes for a pleasant shopping experience.

Kaufhaus des Westens:

An icon of Berlin and the second-largest department store in Europe (trailing only behind Harrods in London), the Kaufhaus des Westens store is one of the best shopping centres in Berlin Mitte. A must-see for shopping lovers, the impressive department store has multiple floors of food, fashion, beauty, gifts and more. With over 100 shops inside these walls, you shouldn’t be surprised if you end up spending an entire day here.

Mall of Berlin:

This mall is one of the newest shopping areas near Berlin Mitte, and it has already developed an excellent reputation. Opened in 2014, this large shopping centre is clean, contemporary and incredibly convenient. There are more than 270 shops in the Mall of Berlin, including H&M, Zara, Guess and Hugo Boss. The shopping centre is also known for having the largest food court in Berlin – so you’ll never need to worry about going hungry while you shop.

Hackescher Markt:

If luxury goods or global brands aren’t your style, why not visit one of the many markets in Berlin Mitte? Hackescher Markt is one of the most popular options, as it combines a modest flea market with some nearby shops. This is a popular area for students and youths, with something unique and affordable for everybody to find.
