When it comes to exploring, you’re within easy reach of some of the city’s most famous sights, including the Louvre (under a twenty-minute walk away), Pont des Arts (twenty-minutes away) and Le Marais, where countless trendy boutiques, cafes and restaurants wait to be discovered, a fifteen-minute stroll from your door.
Montorgueil - Les Halles is a vibrant area in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd districts. It’s frequently overlooked by tourists but it’s definitely a prime location in the heart of Paris. This area feels like a village where true Parisians live, but despite that it’s walking distance to Le Marais, Centre Pompidou and Le Louvre. Parisians particularly like the area for one of its main streets, the rue Montorgueil. Greengrocers, cafes, restaurants and specialty shops all give life to this pedestrianised street, not to be missed by those keen for a taste of authentic Parisian life. Les Halles used to be home to Paris's main wholesale market, and Balzac described it as the Belly of Paris.
