St. Johanns-Tor, one of the three remaining medieval gates into Basel, is an important historic landmark located on the southern border of the neighborhood. There's also the Rheinpromenade Basel, a lovely riverside hiking path. Basel St. Johann train station is located in the center of St. Johann, and lets you travel throughout Switzerland and beyond.
